About

"We are in turbulent times, where our political system is broken, polarization is at an all- time high, and the American Dream seems further and further from reality for everyday people (...) I believe we need new minds and new ideas at the Gold Dome to tackle these issues and to take Georgia Democrats to a majority in the House of Representatives."
Hi! I’m Zae Brewer, a lifelong resident of Georgia and the proud son of two U.S. military
veterans. I grew up in Snellville and graduated from Lithonia High School in DeKalb County.
From an early age, I understood the importance of community and leadership—whether as a
student-athlete or student-leader, I always focused on how I could serve those around me.
After high school, I earned my degree in Political Science from Kennesaw State University,
where I not only received a stellar education, but I also grew and learned as a leader.
As President of the Student Government Association, I worked with the University System
of Georgia (USG) for students and helped secure over $2.4 million in mental health
funding for Georgia’s public universities. I also led organizations like the American Red Cross
and the Young Democrats, always working to make a difference in our communities
and our political system.
My passion for public service didn’t stop there. As a Legislative Aide to State
Representative Lisa Campbell (D-35), I worked directly in our state legislature, advising her and
working to advance the power of the Democratic Caucus during critical moments in recent
Georgia history. I also gained federal experience as a Legislative Intern to U.S. Senator Raphael
Warnock in 2023 and U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema in 2024.
But at the end of the day, home is what matters most. I have spent years advocating for
East DeKalb and South Gwinnett, volunteering with the American Red Cross since 2019, serving
as a Chapter President for two years, leading as State Treasurer for the Young Democrats of
Georgia, Vice Chair of the Snellville Democrats, and various other community service causes
relating to veteran’s affairs and mental health. Now I am ready to take the next step in service to
my community.
We are in turbulent times, where our political system is broken, polarization is at an all-
time high, and the American Dream seems further and further from reality for everyday people,
especially for our youth who have grown up in a chaotic world, and our seniors who give their
lives to our state and country just for them to live paycheck to paycheck. I believe we need new
minds and new ideas at the Gold Dome to tackle these issues and to take Georgia Democrats to a
majority in the House of Representatives.
As your next State Representative, I will work to solve problems that matter most to
everyday Georgians. Snellville and Lithonia deserves a leader who will show up, listen, and
work year-round—and that’s exactly what I intend to do.
